New Year's greetings from the [semi-erstwhile] Class Webmaster
Happy New Year 2009, classmates! Well, I actually kept the class web site updated for the first half of 2008. As for the last half, I plead UPS-induced chronic heat exhaustion and the demands of my ongoing work towards my second undergraduate degree at UNCG. As for the heat, I bought a cooling vest last summer; best 200 bucks I ever spent! As for my version of middle-age crazy, I'm doing quite well in my dual study of Literature and Creative Writing, and I'm actually enjoying it! (Hmm, perhaps there's a correlation...) You can see some of the results on my personal site under Publications: Literary Commentary.
As always, I apologize for any inconvenience my inattention may have caused. Also, thanks to everyone who continued to submit updates all the same. I'll try to get your updates posted before I start back to school in a few weeks. I intend to update the site weekly as 2009 is our 30-year reunion. Regardless of my actual performance, please check the site regularly and continue submitting updates; I'll get to them sooner rather than later.
And speaking of our 30-year reunion, the usual suspects are getting organized and beginning to work on it. Please remember what happened to our 25-year reunion and act accordingly. I realize family responsibilities can make it difficult, but please plan ahead and prepare your finances to support our reunion. Given the current economic situation, we will probably be required to pay most of our expenses in advance, so your early financial support is absolutely essential. At any rate, my best to everyone for 2009, and here's to a successful reunion!
